Exterritorial is a gripping action-thriller directed and written by Christian ZΓΌbert. The film follows Sara Wulf (Jeanne Goursaud), a former German Special Forces soldier suffering from PTSD, who visits the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt with her young son, Josh, to apply for a work visa. During their wait, Josh mysteriously disappears from the consulate's playroom. Despite surveillance footage showing only Sara entering, consulate officials deny Josh's presence, labeling Sara as mentally unstable. Determined to find her son, Sara uncovers a dark conspiracy involving Erik Kynch (Dougray Scott), a consulate security officer and former soldier who had betrayed her unit in Afghanistan, leading to a deadly ambush. Kynch orchestrated Josh's kidnapping to silence Sara, the sole survivor of the ambush. With the help of Irina (Lera Abova), a refugee hiding at the consulate, Sara confronts Kynch, recording his confession and rescuing her son. The film concludes with Sara and Josh moving to the U.S., symbolizing a fresh start and Sara's journey toward healing. Decider+1
