In a dark alternate universe, the Justice League takes on a deadly new form. Superman is the son of General Zod, raised by a kind-hearted Mexican immigrant couple. Batman is Dr. Kirk Langstrom, a scientist-turned-vampire in search of a cure for his condition. Wonder Woman is Bekka, a powerful warrior and widow from the world of New Genesis.
These three morally complex heroes join forces to form a fearsome version of the Justice Leagueâone that isnât afraid to kill criminals and operate beyond legal boundaries. Though their methods are controversial, the U.S. government reluctantly cooperates with them, as they never harm civilians and have helped maintain order.
However, public distrust and fear continue to rise. When prominent scientists working for the government are mysteriously murdered, the Justice League is framed. President Amanda Waller declares them enemies of the state, forcing them to go rogue in a desperate attempt to uncover the truth and clear their names.
