Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has achieved another historic milestone as Guinness World Records (GWR) officially recognized her for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

According to a post on Guinness World Records’ official X account:

"New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria."

The record-breaking feat took place on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, during the ‘Gino World Jollof Festival’ featuring Hilda Baci. The event drew thousands of attendees and sparked widespread social media attention.

Hilda Baci, who first gained international recognition in 2023 for setting the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has further cemented her status as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs.

The Lagos event attracted prominent personalities including Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, Pastor Idowu, and Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor, all supporting Baci’s latest record-breaking achievement.
