Jimmy Lang, a washed up, out of work filmmaker spiraling into a massive, drug-fueled bender in his messy apartment after receiving a string of bad news. During his “trip,” Jimmy becomes convinced he has been abducted by aliens or is at least being targeted by them and begins obsessively researching alien lore and conspiracy theories. Desperate and paranoid, he reaches out to his estranged former best friend and filmmaking partner, Stiggs. Stiggs, who has recently gotten sober and cut ties with Jimmy to escape his toxic influence.
