After Clyde Shelton’s family is brutally murdered, the killers are caught—but due to procedural errors, D.A. Nick Rice only has circumstantial evidence. He convinces one perpetrator to testify against the other, a move that infuriates Shelton. Ten years later, as one of the convicts faces execution, the procedure goes horribly wrong, revealing tampering with the machine. Shortly after, the other accomplice is found dead in a gruesome fashion. Suspicion falls on Shelton, and Rice has him arrested. Initially agreeing to a plea deal, Shelton soon reneges, revealing he’s waging a personal war against everyone involved in his family’s case. With Shelton always one step ahead, Rice must race against time to stop him.
