Synopsis

Blood of the Werewolf’s Claw (2024) is a low-budget horror flick that unleashes supernatural mayhem when a group of archaeology students stumbles upon a cursed sarcophagus hidden in the ruins of an ancient monastery on their college grounds. The tomb belongs to a rogue sorcerer-monk, long slain by a demonic werewolf whose rampage decimated the order centuries ago. Fueled by youthful curiosity and forbidden temptation, the students unearth a grotesque, flesh-bound tome of dark incantations and recklessly chant a resurrection spell—unleashing the ravenous beast once more. As the full moon rises, the campus transforms into a blood-soaked hunting ground, with the survivors scrambling to reverse the ritual amid savage maulings, crumbling alliances, and revelations of the monk's unholy pact with the lupine horror. Directed by Mickey Pilgrim with gritty practical effects and a throwback to '80s slashers, the film revels in gory kills and atmospheric dread, though it stumbles on pacing and character depth, serving as a campy reminder that some graves are best left undisturbed.
