Tom and Jerry: The Movie (1992) follows the classic cat-and-mouse duoβTom and Jerryβwho, after being left homeless when their family moves away and their home is destroyed, end up meeting an orphan girl named Robyn Starling. Robyn believes sheβs an orphan (her father is presumed dead), and sheβs living under the care of her cruel guardian Aunt Pristine Figg. Aunt Figg, along with her lawyer Lickboot and other villains, plots to keep Robynβs inheritance. Tom and Jerry, who in this movie can talk (a major departure from their usual mostly silent roles), join forces with Robyn to uncover the truth about her missing father, evade the villains, and restore justice.
