To combat this phenomenon, special Fire Force brigades are established. The story follows Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic who joins Special Fire Force Company 8, a group of individuals with unique fire-based abilities. Together, they investigate the cause of human combustion and battle Infernals to protect Tokyo from destruction.
