August Rush (2007) is a heartwarming musical drama about an exceptionally gifted orphan, Evan Taylor (Freddie Highmore), who believes his music will help him find his parents. Born from a brief, fated romance between cellist Lyla Novacek (Keri Russell) and Irish guitarist Louis Connelly (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), Evan grows up in a boys’ home after being separated from them at birth.

Guided by his natural musical genius, Evan escapes the orphanage and ventures into New York City, where he encounters a street musician known as Wizard (Robin Williams), who recognizes his talent and renames him “August Rush.” Through music, Evan connects to his parents and the world, leading to a magical reunion that proves that love and melody can transcend distance and time.
